This is a test to see what everythign looks like. Hopefully the type isn't too ridiculously big or the line height is something obnoxious. I hope this looks as good as I know that it can. Just kind of aggravating that I can't have better control of type in CSS.

Moving to a New Host, Blog is Down

August 3rd, 2011

Due to some unfortunate circumstances with my previous host, I am currently in the process of moving my website to a new home. Unfortunately this means that, while everything is working, the blog is down for the next week or two until I can transfer all of the previous posts over to my new host. Thanks for your patience.

Site Issues and Down Time

July 31st, 2011

It seems like there have been quite a few stability issues with my host's server and the website has been down periodically. This is coming at a particularly bad time but I hope to have things ironed out momentarily. Until then, I am going to be manually posting onto the front of page of the portfolio as it seems that the blog is, for whatever reason, having the most issues. Posts will be a lot more sporading until I can get everything working properly again.

New Poster Series for University of Chicago/University Theater

July 15th, 2011

A new school year starting means a new series of posters for the University of Chicago. I have so much fun working on these things and can't wait to tackle the first in the bunch, Sexual Perversity in Chicago by David Mamet. I had seen the play produced a few years ago at UNL and given the subject matter, I think we are aiming for something a little risque and tongue in cheeck. However, I was warned that we don't want to offend the incoming students' parents.

THE LONG CON - TIMOTHY SIRAGUSA

Client: The Lichen

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Timothy Siragusa recently to talk about his new body of work, The Long Con, which opened at the lichen in July. I met up with him in Omaha to meet and chat with some of his models. Afterwards, we sat down at La Buvette in the Old Market where we talked about art, his work, films, and shared several glasses of wine which, combined with the unordinarily beautiful weather that day, made for a very relaxed interview.
